Shortly after, he was baptized along with his father and brother.

He served two churches in Youth Ministry, while attending college. He served Sunrise Baptist Church (Las Vegas, NV) and Laveen Baptist Church (Laveen, AZ, just outside of Phoenix).

He graduated Golden Gate Seminary in December of 1993 with a Masters of Divinity degree.
During that same year, he began his second pastorate at Eleventh Street Baptist Church, Upland California. He served that church for nearly 10 1/2 years.
He was called to Desert Sky Baptist Church in November of 2003 and has served as Lead Pastor in a church restart situation. He was called to the church with a group of 20 and the church grew to nearly 200. During ten years, there were two major building projects, as well as the creation of new ministries and activities within the church.
